It was the first of several hairdressers’ hairdos to make a splash at the London Hairdresser Awards this week, as part of a new campaign by online retailer amazon to encourage customers to “buy more”.
Amazon also announced the first ever Amazon Prime subscription service, which includes hair styling and accessories for $39 a month.
While many have welcomed Amazon’s move, others have criticised the price tag.
Amazon has previously faced criticism for pricing its products on a shoestring basis, prompting a recall of its first-ever hair dye in March 2017.
It later revised its pricing model and now offers customers a range of products including hair treatments, hairstyles, and accessories at “all levels”.
Amazons new Prime service will be available to Australians on Wednesday and the UK on November 17.
Amazon has also launched a new hairdressing and beauty product line for Australians, and is working with hair stylists to deliver more than 200 new hairstyles to the market this year.
“Amazon Prime membership is the best value for your money.
We’re bringing you a range the brands that you know and love, plus all the products you’ve always wanted but never had the time to try,” Amazon said in a statement.
Earlier this month, Amazon launched a range that included a range hair care products and accessories that included “all-natural” shampoo, conditioner, and hair gel.
